Self-employed aids Extremadura coronavirus
As a result of the effects of the pandemic, productive activity has been greatly reduced, which is why companies have seen their sources of income reduced considerably. For this reason, one of the greatest difficulties currently facing the self-employed Extremadurans is the lack of liquidity to finance their current expenses and working capital, which seriously affects the economic situation of many self-employed professionals, healthy companies and their employees, even putting the long-term survival of the business at risk.
With the aim of minimizing the economic and social impact as much as possible, as well as facilitating the recovery of the activity as soon as possible, the Junta de Extremadura promotes through Decree Law 9/2020 , a series of measures to facilitate access to financing for the self-employed and companies, groups that find it more difficult to obtain financing due to lack of sufficient guarantees and who need more support in the first years.
To face these aid for the self-employed in Extremadura , three measures will be applied.
First, Microcredits of up to 25,000 euros to finance working capital operations . Up to 25,000 euros of aid will be destined to freelancers and SMEs of any activity sector with less than 5 years of antiquity, for all those operations formalized before December 31, 2020. This line subsidizes the opening commissions and the interest accrued until December 31, 2022.
The maximum financial aid to be granted per beneficiary can reach up to 1,220 euros, and can be requested until December 31, 2020 at the Caja Almendralejo offices.
Second, 100% guarantees for bank loans of up to 150,000 euros . The Extraval COVID-19 guarantee line is intended for the self-employed and SMEs of any activity sector for all those guarantee operations and formalized loans up to a maximum amount of 150,000 euros before December 31, 2020. This measure subsidizes 0.7 percent for the guarantee study commission; 1.25 percent per annum as commission on the outstanding risk of the guarantee until December 31, 2022; and up to 1.5 interest points on loan operations arranged against the guarantee, accrued until December 31, 2022.
The maximum financial aid to be granted per beneficiary in this line is up to 10,700 euros, and can be requested until December 31, 2020 through Extraval and the financial entities of LiberBank, Banca Pueyo, Caja Almendralejo, Sabadell, Santader, CaixaBank , Abanca and BBVA.
Finally, Direct Aid for investments . In addition, Extremadura companies can request the Regional Incentives line to make investments related to the creation of new companies, as well as the consolidation of existing ones through expansion, modernization and relocation projects.
This aid program, regulated in Decree 185/2017 , includes three lines: subsidies by activity, by generational change and for transformation and adaptation to industry 4.0.
