Self-employed aids País Vasco coronavirus
The Government of the autonomous community of the Basque Country offers different aids to the self-employed due to the situation caused by Covid-19.
Some of these grants are intended for the restructuring and relaunching of companies, consulting services and the implementation of teleworking, financing of SMEs and the self-employed at 0% interest, help to incorporate TEICs in industrial companies ...
The autonomous community has activated ELKARGI, a financing line of 25 million euros of direct loans to support the self-employed and SMEs, through the Basque Institute of Finance (IVF).
The IVF COVID19 Line may be dedicated to covering fixed structural expenses equivalent to six months of ordinary operation of the company.
Requirements to obtain coronavirus aids:
- Exercise economic activity in the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country, with registered office, decision-making center and / or at least one activity center located in the Basque Country.
- Have the qualification of SME.
- Not having past due debts with the IVF or ELKARGI.
- Be up to date with payments for tax obligations and with Social Security.

- Likewise, the applications must present a brief description of the impact of the health emergency on the activity and the financing needs they have.
