Consolida t Program
The Generalitat de Catalunya offers a grant to support the consolidation, strengthening and reinvention of self-employment in Catalonia through the Consolida t program. Its purpose is to provide personalized advice and training to improve the business management of the self-employed operating in Catalonia.
The requirements to participate in the Consolida t Program are the following:
- Autónomos propiamente dichos o económicamente dependientes (TRADE).
- Self-employed companies integrated into a private civil society, a community of goods or limited partnership , as long as they do not have more than 4 people hired and a turnover exceeding € 500.00 per year.
- Freelancers who have ceased their activity and want to start a new self-employment project .
Grants for professionals in the tourism sector [Covid-19]
The Department of Business and Knowledge of the Generalitat de Catalunya offers a direct economic benefit to self-employed professionals and micro-businesses in the tourism sector affected by the crisis situation caused by COVID-19 with the aim that they can continue with their activity. These subsidies for the tourism sector are compatible with aid for the self-employed and with any other aid, as long as the activity is maintained for at least 1 year.
Who is the grant for?
- Tourist accommodation establishments: hotel establishments, tourist apartments, campsites, rural tourism establishments
- Tourism mediation companies: receptive agencies with headquarters in Catalonia, Destination managers companies, professional organizers of congresses, and operators of houses for tourist use
- Establishments and activities of tourist interest: people or companies that contribute to boosting tourism and favor stays in the territory
- Qualified tourist guides
Basic requirements to apply for these aids.
- Up to 5 workers (permanent or discontinuous) before the start of the Covid-19 crisis
- Maximum turnover of 500,000 € in the last year
- Develop the activity and have tax headquarters in Catalonia
- Be up to date with tax obligations with the State Administration, the Generalitat and Social Security
- Autónomos: estar dados de alta al menos desde hace un año
- Operators of houses for tourist use: be registered in the IAE
